If an Audi A5 does not have a factory-fitted MMI navigation unit, Alpine offers a very interesting package and this can be retrofitted: a touchscreen monitor is installed for this purpose and the old radio unit has been exchanged for a new media panel. As you can see here, you get a modern navigation system with DAB+ tuner, USB ports, iPod/iPhone interfaces, a Bluetooth hands-free kit and a significant sound improvement over the old Audi radio. This package is also compatible with the Audi A4 and Q5.

DVD player in the glove compartment
A DVD player is inserted in the glove compartment and fitted with modules so that DVDs can be watched on the factory monitor in the cockpit as well as on the headrest monitors.
Headrest monitors
Here the original headrests are completely converted so that, as in this case, Zenec 702 7″ monitors can be installed.

Tweeter conversion front doors
The Focal Utopia tweeters were installed in the original location, but positioned further forward to avoid sound distortion from the Audi plastic grille.
Overall impression
Two 30 cm Focal Utopia subwoofers and a Focal 2-way system from the K series were installed. Furthermore, a power cap, a gel battery and a total of three Focal power amplifiers were installed. These can be seen through the base plate, which has a plexiglass window. The subwoofer cabinets were made of wood, then covered with a GRP cover and finally covered with artificial leather. In addition, a 7″ Clarion monitor was placed between the two cabinets. Two ceiling monitors from Zenec were installed, one 7″ and one 10″ monitor.
Doorboards conversion
The original door was converted with a cabinet so that two 16.5 cm Focal Utopia found their place. These were then covered with black leather.
Alpine F1 Status Headunit
As the heart of the Audi, an Alpine F1 Status was installed to be able to adjust the complete system with a perfect sound processor. The sound experience is simply incorrigible.

Under the floor are the power amplifiers that supply the speakers and subwoofers with the required power. A 4-channel, a 2-channel and a monoblock by Focal were installed. The base plate is also covered with black leather.
For this purpose, the monitors were placed in trays that were placed on the upper part of the seat shell. These shells were made of GRP and covered with artificial leather.

The loudspeakers in the doors were mounted on doorboards covered with acanthara leather.
The Kenwood navigation computer was mounted behind the right side panel in the boot.
In the boot, 2 Phase Linear Alliante 12″ subwoofers were installed in a GRP spare wheel well. Behind the speakers, 2 Hifonics amplifiers were installed under a false floor.
